A conversation between two mature aged students

。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。

In the class next door at the KLI there is another mature aged student. He also lives in the apartment block next to mine here in Sodaemun . He has was a former advisor to PM Hatoyama. David is currently searching for work as an academic so he can continue to live here with his Korean wife.

Yesterday morning outside the mature aged students had this conversation-

S- There are 4 students absent in our class today. How about your class?

D- 4 people? No everyone is healthy in our class.

S- The young students are too soft on themselves. I wanted to stay at home too but I came.

D- You came because you are in competition with your children!

S- You have a point there…in fact I am in competition with everyone!

D- That is so Anglo Saxon

On the way back from the ladies room I popped into his classroom to settle the matter….

S- Just for the record, I am not Anglo Saxon, I am Cornish.

Giggle ,giggle giggle

A conversation that could only be appreciated by mature aged students.

My life in Seoul is filled with new experiences daily….

When I leave the KLI I walk under the beautiful trees amongst the younger students…is sometimes easy to forget how my real age!
