今日は疲れた・・・昨日はダーリンと用があって岐阜に日帰りしました。

岐阜と言えばひつまぶし鰻ですね・・・お昼はセーブをして簡単に美味しいおそばを頂いて・・・おそば屋さんが老舗らしくお会計は自己申告・・・道徳が薄れてきている今頃では大丈夫かしら?ルールが大好きな日本にしては意外でした・・

夜はダーリンの運転で帰宅・・・

今日はクリスマスの残りの七面鳥でパイを作りました。

I have just noticed my thickening waistline. On reviewing my blog I noticed lots of pictures of food….OK. it’s all starting to make sense! Most of the food that appears in my blog is home cooked. I take great pride in the importance of home cooking. It is an important family tradition. Family celebrations are honored with home cooking. You can’t buy that sort of love….

Today I am feeling very tired….JM and I went to Gifu for the day.

Gifu is famous for it’s eel cuisine. I never miss having it when I go…

In order to save “eel space” in our tummies we went to a yummy “soba” shop for lunch. I understand this shop has been in operation for a long time. Their accounting system is based on trust. When you have finished you tell the cashier what you had to eat. I wonder if people in these hard times are as honest as days gone by? Surprising when you consider how much Japanese like rules………………

Today we are having left-over turkey for lunch ….turkey pie!
