Dreams of Sydney and Ginseng

I have lived in Tottori for 26 years. I still hate the snow! The weather forecast is reporting “snow and cold to continue”. How mean can you get??

I miss Sydney. I miss the weather, my apartment with the harbor views and the cute little ducks that come up on the jetty hunting for food. In this cold I have even started dreaming about Sydney. Tottori’s winter has always proved to be a torture for me.

With this in mind I have started taking ginseng tablets and they must be helping my circulation. With all my complaints about the snow and the cold I am actually finding this year tolerable. I have heard that Ginseng does have miracle properties and I am almost convinced. I have arthritis in my neck. Last year the pain was so bad I considered shelving my plans for studying in Korea. My herbal doctor in Tottori kindly told me to get on with my life and not to let it get me down. After taking Ginseng for a month I noticed that the pain in my neck had almost gone, I didn’t catch colds and I was able to go to school every day. The ginseng helped but what was more important was my determination to do something new and not dwell on my aches and pains. Yes….I think that sickness is very much in the mind and with a positive attitude we can stay well.

Maybe this means I can do anything I set out to do???

But…..I still hate the cold!
