Today I realized I might
have matured a little as a student….. in my research- the state’s interference
in education and forced assimilation of zainichi
students, I found what appeared to be an interesting article written by a
Japanese woman, doing a PhD in the US. Wow! The article was FULL of mistakes,
poorly sourced and what made me angry was the article was written in 2000 and
she quoted 1981 demographics? Thank goodness for peer reviewed articles, now I
understand the importance of peer review….this was hopeless. How embarrassing!
