長女の引っ越し Daughter’s new apartment

時々、年齢を感じることがあります。先週の金、土、日に長女と一緒にキャンベラに行って来ました。来年の２月、再びキャンベラで生活をする長女がマンションを購入しました。やはり　子供が自分の家を買うと年齢を感じる・・・その次は引っ越しの手伝い後の疲労！！キャ！とっても疲れました。慣れないことばっかり・・ホームセンターを一緒に行き、その広大さにアッとされたり、久しぶりのことばっかりでした。わずかでも協力して上げれて　良かったと思います。

キャンベラの帰りに大好きなべリマに寄りました。本当に素敵な田舎町・・・アルパッカの毛糸を買い、お昼を食べて来ました・・・

勉強が終わってから２週間経ちました。最初は何となく　嬉しかったけど　退屈になって来ました。この年齢で学問が私の生きがいになったかもしれませんね。

後、帰るまで　論文の採点を待ち、久しぶりに友人と積極的にデート・・・・・

Sometimes things in life remind me I am not as young as I used to be…..last weekend I accompanied my eldest daughter to Canberra. She is going back to work there next February and has bought an apartment. The buying her own apartment makes me feel a little older too! Then there is the big move and the unpacking and with me doing most of the work while she was at work in the Canberra office……I was left feeling very, very tired. Then the trips to Bunnings…. That store is so big it makes me feel nauseous! Glad I got to help …… We stopped off at Berrima on the way back….my favourite country town. We bought some Alpaca wool and had a meat pie for lunch.

2 more weeks until I finally go home. 2 weeks since I finished my studies….to begin with I was relieved but now I am starting to feel bored. It looks like my studies have taken over my life….in a good way. Now, I wait for my dissertation to be marked and have lots of plans for meeting up with friends……

妹とノースヘッドの観光 A trip to North Head with my sister…

休暇中の妹と一緒にシドニー観光して来ました。シドニー湾に入口の北側の　ノースヘッドを車で登り、人の居ない（観光客）自然を満喫しました。形式の素晴らしさに　間道・・・普段、仕事の忙しい妹と　あんな二　ゆっくり過ごしたことが　久しぶりでした。勿論・・・・しゃべりっぱなし・・・女だもの・・・・

Today I went over to North Head with my sister. She is on holidays and it was wonderful to spend the day out with her as tourists in Sydney. We drove up to North Head and were amazed how many tourist were NOT there and how the natural fauna has been preserved. Not to mention the view…

We talked all day……

ジャカランダの木と韓国料理 Korean food and Jacaranda trees…

ホリデーモードで　友人と一緒に　韓国料理を食べて来ました。今回、招待して貰った

レストランの　オーナーがとっても喜作で　キムチもたくさんくれました。よ・・・・し！！又　行こう！！美味しかった→http://www.doori.com.au/

午後は大学の事務局を訪ねました。きちんと卒業が出来るかどうか　確認済み・・・　試験の結果さえ良ければ卒業が出来そう・・・やった！！二年間の修士課程が　終わりそう・・・・

大学の中庭で　ジャカランダの気が咲いていました。シドニーでは　ジャカランダの木がいつも　大学入試の頃　に咲きます。ジャカランダの花を見ると　どんな人も　「受験生頑張れ・・・」と思います。私は　子供たちの　受験を思い出します・・・

大学の中庭を見ると　こんな格式の高い大学で自分自身が　おばちゃん学生として精一杯背伸びをさせ貰ったことに　幸せを感じます。振り替えてみると　勉強自体はそれほど　難しいと思いませんでしたけど　努力が必要でした・・・・

Now that I am on holidays I can catch up with old friends….yesterday I went to a Korean restaurant in Strathfield called Doori with some good friends. The owner of the restaurant was extremely pleasant, the dishes tasted fantastic and most important…she gave us lots of kimchi!! http://www.doori.com.au/

I will be going back for sure.

After lunch I went into the Sydney University office to check that I am on track for graduation…it seems I am, so now I just need to wait for my results to come out soon then my two years as a Masters ( mature aged) graduate student will be over…….

The Jacaranda tree in in the Quadrangle was in full bloom, just magnificent. People in Sydney always think of HSC students when the Jacaranda tree blooms. It reminds me of how well my children have done……I am also so glad I was given the opportunity to challenge myself at prestigious Sydney University. Looking back nothing was difficult it was just a lot of work!
