。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。

10 years ago, the Japanese Emperor, in an effort to open up dialogue for reconciliation with Korea made reference to the fact that he was indeed a descendent of a Korean Shilla princess.

Unfortunately this astounding revelation was given little attention in the Japanese press. I stumbled across the news through foreign sources. It makes you wonder who controls public opinion in this country and who actually controls the Emperor? AND who believes what they want to believe?

See Question 3 on the Imperial Household Agency’s website- the translated version of the interview.

  1. Yes, not some, but the majority of Japanese consider that Koreans are inferior and even though they know that they are all related to Koreans in their DNA, they would rather not acknowledge so. In a courageous move the Emperor tried to open dialogue in an effort to to create an environment that will welcome reconciliation, however the Japanese press basically ignored him. If you ask me, that was a terrible “slight” against the Emperor and the Korean people….this was also 10 years ago and has been conveniently forgotten…. BTW thanks for your comment!!

  2. The question could be answered by opening some of the kofun in Osaka and Nara prefectures, but I guess they will be kept close for quite a while to NOT get an answer to the question whether the Japanese emperor is of Korean descendant or not – because his position is based on the claim that he is a descendant of Amaterasu. Being of Korean descent would devastate half a nation…

    • You bet Florian/Abandoned Kansai… the whole country knows that but prefers to have collective amnesia… things might honestly change here (economic problems) if people started confronting issues rather than pretending they are not there….. Thank for your comment.

    • But if the Emperor is declared officially of Korean descent ( and we know it won’t happen)…it will devastate more than half the nation!! Ironically most people know the fact though…
