Sexism and or racisim?

JUDO/ National women’s coach resigns over violence scandal

Honestly, it makes you wonder if there is any respect for women in Judo circles in Japan? On top of the attached link, a former (twice) gold medalist was jailed for 5 years for raping a younger Judo woman team member….. it appears to me that violence was condoned against women???? Also, politicians are being interviewed and everyone is now worried about Japan’s international image and their bid for Tokyo to host the Olympics. BUT no one has even bothered to consider that this sort of behavior and disrespect for women is a serious problem in Japanese society. Give me a break…..

AND NOW, I feel more irritated…. a friend said she wasn’t aware of the rape case, so I hunted around on the internet to find a link I could send to her………and there it was typical!… “Uchishiba is a Korean”…………..well actually he is NOT. He holds Japanese citizenship. He may have been a Korean citizen before, but who cares? When he won 2 gold members, he was a national Japanese hero, he commits a crime and the devious internet maniacs pull out the “korean card” ………typical. Don’t get me wrong…..he deserves life in prison …… but as soon as anyone falls out of favour in Japanese society he or she is accused of being Korean.

In my search for link I once again get entangled in the deceitful and hateful 2 channel. I find it hard to comprehend how people can get a kick out of so much “hate”, just reading it makes me ashamed.

Great start to the day….. sexism and racism….

This time the race card might have won….but all I can say is that Japanese love to discriminate.
